The subject of pyrotechnics has been studied for more than a thousand years, and yet there are surprisingly few books documenting the technical aspects of the subject. The Pyrotechnic Reference Series is a growing collection of reference works. Published in the series are (or will be) dictionaries, course notes and text books on various aspects of pyrotechnics.

The current titles are:

The Illustrated Dictionary of Pyrotechnics
Lecture Notes for the Pyrotechnic Chemistry (Revised Feb. 2005)
Lecture Notes for Fireworks Display Practices (Revised and expanded, December 2005)
Pyrotechnic Chemistry (New, December 2004)
